The Czech version of Le facteur émotif, which was supposed to be published in spring, 2018, has been moved up. The book will appear in October, 2017, at Albatross Media, more or less at the same moment than the new German publication of this novel by DTV in Munich. It is moreover possible that I pop over in Prag, in December, when I shall be in Germany for a small promotional trip to Munich, Bremen, and some other cities to be determined.

Once again, I had a great trip in England. The launch of The Postman's Fiancée took place on June 7th, at the Délégation du Québec, in the presence of the Agent-General, Christos Siros and his wonderful team as well as a group of distinguished guests. The event gave rise to a public interview hosted by the journalist and writer Maya Jaggi, a remarkable  Woman of Letters and ideas.

On June 9th, I went to Salisbury in order to take part in Salisbury International Arts Festival. I gave, in the Salberg Theatre of Salisbury Playhouse, a public interview hosted by the brilliant Tom Bromley, which was followed by a signing session.

With my wife Hélène, we were in Borough Market, then we crossed London Bridge hardly a few hours before this terrorist attack which provoked all this horror - it makes you think. Condolences to the families of the victims.

One year after my last six months stay in the United Kingdom, I shall soon return to take part in the launch of The Postman's Fiancée, English translation of La fiancée du facteur, by John Cullen, which will be published by Oneworld Publications, winner of the 2015 and 2016 Man Booker prizes. This event will take place on June 7th at the Délégation du Québec au Royaume-Uni, on Pall Mall Street, London. I shall give on this occasion a public interview hosted by Boyd Tonkin, author, journalist and Chief Editor of the literary pages of The Independent.

Some signing sessions will take place the next day in different bookshops.

On June 9th, I shall go to Salisbury to participate in the Salisbury International Arts Festival. I shall give a public interview hosted by Tom Bromley at 3h00 pm, in the Salberg Theatre of the Salisbury Playhouse.

Let us mention also that Juliet Mabey, my dear British editor, has just been awarded the envied title of Editor of the Year at the British Book Awards 2017. Bravo, Juliet! Well deserved!

The French edition of La fiancée du facteur, published by Anne Carrière éditeur, is in the bookshops since the beginning of May. As for the French edition of Le facteur émotif, released in 2015 - and also published by Anne Carrière, it will be published again at Le livre de poche, on May 31th.

De verloofde van de postbode, the Dutch translation of the novel La fiancée du facteur which follows De eenzame postbobe (Le facteur émotif), will be available in the Dutch bookshops on May 25th.

The Russian translation of the novel Le facteur émotif, which was supposed to be published in January, 2017, will rather appears in the Russian bookshops at the end of May.

In preparation for the publication of Die Verlobte des Briefträgers, the translation of La fiancée du facteur, DTV, my German publisher, will offer, in autumn, 2017, a new edition of Sibzehn Silben Ewigkeit, the German translation of Le Facteur émotif. Both translation are Saskia Bontjes van Beek's work. I shall thus have a double reason to visit my German friends in December.

The Peculiar Life of a Lonely Postman, the English translation of my novel Le facteur émotif which was published in the UK last February, is distributed in the USA since the beginning of March. This translation is Liedewij Hawke's work.

The Boy who Belonged to the Sea, Liedewij Hawke's English translation of my novel L'iguane, will be released in March, 2018 at Oneworld Publications, my British publisher, which won for a second consecutive time (2015 & 2016) the Man Booker prize.

This novel will be distributed in the USA in April, 2018.

A translation in Czech language of my novel Le facteur émotif will be published at Albatross Media Publishing (Prague) in April, 2018.
